The WilsonWeb CX Edition refers to the 110th anniversary of The  HW Wilson Company which takes place in 2008.  “CX” are Roman numerals for 110.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Basic Search Screen.  Notice new layout of buttons and links at the top of the screen and the bottom of the screen. 
There are currently 2 different links to the Journal Directory.
1.The new Journal Directory link in the Database Selection Area links the user to a customized JD report that reflects the databases that have been selected.
2.The Journal Directory found in the Quick Links takes the user to the main Journal Directory search page so that they can create their own reports.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Advanced Search Screen
On this screen you will note that there are 3 custom links that can be created by the library…such as a library home page, an events calendar, etc.  The same custom links also appear in the Quick Links dropdown.  It is also possible for a library to create up to 2 co-branding icons.  Each icon can be a link to another site, of the libraries choice.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Search Results – Basic Display.
Note:
1.New “Find” search box (search in results or a new search).
2. Suggested Subjects are now on left side of screen, plus we have increased the number to 10 Suggested Subjects.

3.The new tabs offer the user the ability to limit/narrow their search results at this point by clicking on a tab.  For even more flexibility, the tabs can be unclicked so that the user can manipulate the search results even more.
4.The user can now Create Alerts, make Sorting choices, plus determine the number of records per page, from this screen.  Additionally they can easily browse the pages in their search results.
5.Newly added to the system is a counter for the items that have been marked.  Users can then retrieve only the records of interest, for additional manipulation, or simply clear the marked records.

Note:
1.Now have ability to go to next full display record.
2.Can Print, Email or Save the single record directly from this page by selecting the appropriate.  Incidentally, if available the printed, emailed and saved records will automatically provide the full text of a record, in addition to the full citation, if it is available.
3.Peer Reviewed Journals are now identified by a new icon, within the full citation.
When clicking the Print Email Save button in the bar at the top/bottom of the screen, the user is taken to the Print Email Save page with the Print function pre-selected.  If the user wishes to email, save or export the record, they can then select the desired function from either the links on the left side of the screen or click the appropriate tab at the top.
When a Full Text HTML record has been selected and displayed in the popup window, users can either print, email or save the record by clicking on the appropriate button.  It is now possible to translate an article from English into another language.
Recently expanded to the list of languages of choice for translation from English are now Japanese and Russian.  French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Korean were previously added.
The user can sign on (using their unique ID number to either save searches or retrieve previously save searches.
User can build a search in 2 ways.
1.Mark searches of interest, select the operator (And, Or, or Not) that will be inserted between each search and then click the “Run Search” button.  These searches can then be saved, deleted, or perhaps have an alert created.
2.It is also possible to simply type in the “Find” text entry box a search number…like “#3” and then type in the operator And, Or or Not, plus an actual term.  So, for example, the following could be typed in the box – “(#3 or #2) And pollution”
To Save a search, after having entered the user ID number, simply mark the record(s) of interest, name the search and then click the “Save” button.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Art Museum Image Gallery Brief Results Screen.
Click either the image or the title to open the record.  If there are multiple image available, the user will see a link under the title and artist for viewing more images.

Note:
Image can be opened into a popup window (multiple images in popup at one time, if desired).  The size of the image can be expanded by either selecting the browser’s page adjustment size button in the upper right corner of the screen, or by clicking on the bottom left corner and dragging the image into another size.
Multiple images can be opened so that works can be compared.
See new split name entry boxes.  Also, there is an “auto-complete” feature on the Professions and Place of Origin entry boxes.
The auto-complete feature allows the user to start typing in terms and then anticipating terms of interest and that are possible in the database.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Biography Brief Search Results screen.  If a profile for a specific person is found, listed immediately below are other persons closely related to the primary profile…like a wife, a child and/or perhaps a colleague for which there is a record.  At the bottom of the it is also possible to add to the listing by including other profiles in which the original person searched is mentioned in their profiles…adding to the research information.
Note: New layout of master record, plus a new link for “Most Recent Articles” helping users to find the latest information about a person.
When a person has more than one image available, there is a new popup window that displays the choices.  Clicking on any one of the smaller images, will open that image into the larger image area.
WilsonWeb Release 3.0 Play Index Advanced Search screen.
Although similar, some of the key elements of the Advanced Search screen for Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus and the Current Issues in Health databases have been rearranged for easier use.  The list of topics is now on the left side, plus the “Topic Finder” box has been relocated.

When all Subtopics have been opened, scroll through the entire list to see available articles.
New Current Issues in Health – layout similar to Current Issues: Ref Shelf Plus.
Approx. 56 topics by release, with 80 topics by end of this year expected.
The default color screen choice is blue & yellow.  It is also possible to select red as the primary color for the search screens, if desired.  These choices are in the Administrator’s Module.
